Job Purpose
The Technical Services Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring the SolitAir aircraft fleet to ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective operations. This role supports continued airworthiness by analyzing technical data, coordinating maintenance activities, and liaising with OEMs and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal continuing airworthiness of aircraft systems, structures, and powerplants.
- Review monthly aircraft/system/powerplant data to generate reliability reports and identify trends.
- Recommend AMP changes (escalation/de-escalation) based on data analysis; collaborate with Planning and Technical Services teams on defect analysis.
- Review and manage AD/SB/MSB assessments and safety-critical items; ensure implementation in the MIS system.
- Prepare and present Engineering Orders and reviews using OEM data (OITs, SILs, SBs) and industry insights.
- Manage on-wing and off-wing engine operations, shop visits, and maintenance for CFM56 and B-series engines and APUs.
- Coordinate structural repair solutions with OEMs; maintain and update dent and buckle charts.
- Act as liaison between OEMs and maintenance staff for system issues, documentation, and repair support.
- Develop procedures for managing engineering documentation to support continued airworthiness.
- Represent SolitAir at industry meetings for feedback, reporting, and development initiatives.
- Support line and base maintenance teams with in-service issues; generate work orders for investigation and corrective actions.
- Ensure timely closure of occurrence reports and audit findings.
- Identify and report hazards, irregularities, and unsafe practices.
- Assist the Safety Department with technical assessments during investigations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Type License with Boeing B737 Series type rating.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a scheduled commercial airline.
- Completion of Level 1 (General Familiarization) or higher training on Boeing B737 Series aircraft.
- Proven experience managing Boeing B737 Series aircraft.
- Proficiency in Engineering & Maintenance Systems such as OASES, AMOS, RAMCO, TRAX.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
