Job Purpose
The MCC Engineer serves as the central point of contact for the deployed SolitAir fleet, providing technical support and operational oversight. This role ensures continuous situational awareness and control of the fleet, coordinating maintenance activities and supporting flight crews and maintenance providers to maintain safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Shift In-Charge for maintenance operations, overseeing all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Provide real-time technical status updates of the fleet to Flight Operations and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with service providers for maintenance requirements at both main base and outstations.
- Manage and control all outgoing communication from MCC.
- Serve as the primary contact for all maintenance-related communication across the company.
- Initiate and coordinate AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support, including manpower, tooling, and spares.
- Guide and support maintenance personnel during troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Advise flight crew on technical issues both in-flight and on the ground.
- Monitor and manage delay and AOG events, ensuring timely and accurate updates to management and stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute Deferred Defect status reports; monitor compliance and efficiency.
- Compile and circulate daily maintenance summary reports.
- Lead daily maintenance review meetings.
- Maintain detailed MCC shift logs and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.
- Collaborate with Technical Services Engineers on troubleshooting and reliability monitoring.
- Liaise with OEMs for technical support and structural repair guidance.
- Coordinate with Engineering Planning and Operations Control to optimize maintenance scheduling for compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Licensed B1 or B2 Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, including type ratings on Boeing B737 Series aircraft with CFM56/CFM LEAP engines.
- Strong understanding of OEM manuals (AMM, SRM, SSM) and applicable Part-145/-M regulations.
- Proven ability to gather and assess technical information, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication skills across diverse teams and cultures; active listening and clear articulation.
- Ability to maintain a broad operational perspective (“helicopter view”) and perform under pressure.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills to drive collaborative problem-solving.
- High level of discipline and accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general administrative tools.
- Fluent in technical and conversational English, both written and spoken.
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
- Proactive in identifying and proposing operational improvements.
- Capable of representing the company in professional and technical forums.
